"Chandan’s taste for creating direct photography devoid of theatrics and sentiments allowed his art and expression to occur naturally, through the choice of subjects, views, framing, light, lenses, shutter speed, plates and processing chemicals. His camera offered a unique capacity to render the reality at the same time could easily transform visual facts.
Chandan saw its final meaning not in the camera itself, in a certain technique or a specific print making process but in the intention of the photographer who can employ any tool or method in pursuit of his own unique goal.

Chandan’s passion for achieving a balanced optical composition with the use of light, form pattern and shadows is easily discernable. In order to satisfy the compositional aesthetics, human figures are treated as objects with careful emotional indifference to them.""Chandan’s photographs are servants of time and in their presence we are reminded of our existence, servitude and morality."
